About Me

Ever since I was a little girl, people have felt comfortable discussing their personal life with me. Most of the time, far into the conversation, they stop and say, “I don’t know why I’m telling you all of this,” and then proceed with what they were saying. I can recall being in college, and one of my professors- a long-time mentor- talked to me about a tragic life event that he was struggling with. We talked for months, and I helped him recognize and use his coping skills. After college, in my corporate years of sales, I found myself in business meetings with all types of personalities. Most were rugged businessmen. So many business meetings turned into therapy sessions with the familiar phrase “I don’t know why I’m telling you all of this” and a continued conversation about their particular struggle.

I have been told that I have the gift of active listening. Once we have that initial conversation, people consistently reach out to me throughout the years, and we talk through solutions and different ways to  overcome their current challenge.

It’s very easy to make a quick and deep connection with people I meet. I don’t always tell people what they want to hear. I speak the truth about what is right and what is wrong. This comes from within me and is how I was created. I am able to be a nonbiased voice in times of struggle.

In 2011, I dug deep into self-reflection and realized “I have been in sales and sales management for so many years. Is this fulfilling me? There is so much that I enjoy about my job, but Is this what I want to be doing for the rest of my life?” I started researching the profession of therapist or counselor, and I stumbled upon life coaching. I was amazed!! When reading more about what a life coach is, my only thought was… this describes me! It doesn’t describe my job; it describes who I am as a person. How amazing! After intense reading and to  coursework, and I became a master-certified life coach.  When you work with me, be who you are, and we’ll be off to a great start!
